As a crucial COP30 takes place in Belém, Europe shows climate action and competitiveness go hand in hand.

Parliament's vote on our proposal to reduce carbon emissions by 90% by 2040 is a very welcome development.

And a major step on our path to climate neutrality by 2050.

“For a country that has just experienced the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles and faces ever more terrifying hurricanes, to abandon the Paris climate agreement and remove all limits on fossil fuel use is to live in denial.”

It’s what Trump won’t do that is worrying
Away from the blizzard of executive orders lies the failure to address climate change, curb US debt or regulate crypto

All continents will have to deal with the growing burden of climate change.

Its impact is impossible to ignore.

The Paris Agreement continues to be humanity’s best hope.

Europe will stay the course.

And we’ll keep working with all nations that want to stop global warming.

The climate crisis is one of the greatest security risks we face that we can only tackle as a 🌍 community.

We deeply regret President Trump's announcement of intent to withdraw from the Paris Agreement.

The fact remains: the 🌍 energy transition is inevitable & the climate crisis is intensifying.
It's a truly unfortunate development that the world’s largest economy, and one of our closest allies in the fight against climate change, is withdrawing from the Paris Agreement.
