After promising landed status on arrival for caregivers, government shut the pilot without explanation—while 34,000 cases remain stuck in backlog. Cutting PR quotas will leave caregivers waiting over 7 years. Caregivers should never be treated as 2nd class. Expand allocation and clear backlog now.

Caregivers fought for decades for fairness. Yet the Home Care Worker Pilot never even opened, and now the Liberals are cutting PR spots while 34,000 caregiver applications sit in backlog. Tens of thousands doing essential care work are left in limbo. Caregivers deserve dignity—not delay. #cdnpoli

Immigrants, refugees, caregivers & students built this country. We need an immigration policy based on fairness, dignity & opportunity — not cuts and scapegoating. 4/

Family reunification is being gutted: parent & grandparent level cut by 29%. Hong Kong Pathway applicants face decade-long waits. These families deserve compassion — not endless separation. 3/

Permanent resident admissions will drop from 500,000 to 380,000. Temporary residents — workers, students, families — cut by 25%. International student numbers slashed almost in half. These cuts will devastate communities, jobs, and post-secondary institutions. 2/

The Liberal government’s new immigration levels plan is a disappointing retreat from Canada’s history as a welcoming, inclusive country. Instead of strengthening families and communities, it closes doors and divides people. 1/

Arts & culture fuel our soul and our economy — contributing $65B to Canada’s GDP and $17B in tax revenue.

Yet the Liberals are planning deep cuts, rolling back funding to 2007 levels.

I asked the Minister: will the government scrap these cuts and support Canadian artists? #cdnpoli #arts

Renters are being gouged by corporate landlords with rent hikes of 30%, 40%—even 50%. Canadians can’t wait years for affordability. We need national vacancy control now to stop profiteering and protect renters. #cdnpoli #HousingCrisis

Yesterday I tabled a petition signed by over 10,000 Canadians calling on the government to withdraw Bill C-2. This Trump-style legislation threatens due process, privacy rights & Canadian sovereignty. Canadians reject xenophobia & demand the government uphold our Charter values.

Canada Post plans to close the 418 Main St post office on Nov 12 — a vital hub for seniors, low-income residents, and Chinese-speaking community members. I’m calling on Minister Lightbound to halt the closure and consult the community before it’s too late.

At the Port of Montreal, only 8 officers are tasked with inspecting export containers — that’s unacceptable.

In Vancouver, the cancellation of Port Police by the Conservatives worsened drug trafficking. @mark-carney.bsky.social should bring back Port Police in Vancouver.

The hiring of 1,000 CBSA officers is long overdue — and mostly a re-announcement. In 2012, Conservatives with Pierre Poilievre in cabinet cut 1,100 in one day. Canada is now short 3,000 frontline staff, leaving our borders weaker against illegal guns, drugs & contraband. #cdnpoli

Carney’s Bills C-2 and C-12 strip due process from refugee claimants, hand sweeping powers to the minister, and quietly expand surveillance with little oversight.

This isn’t “border reform” — it’s executive overreach repackaged to appease Trump.

I’m deeply disappointed that Conservatives and Bloc MPs teamed up to pass amendments to Bill C-3 — the Lost Canadians bill — that undermine its very purpose: to right historic wrongs faced by Lost Canadians and their families. #cdnpoli #LostCanadians

Rogue Liberal MP Vince Gasparro announced government policy without authorization?! Canadians and visitors to Canada deserve to know that they are not subject to arbitrary policy decisions. Minister should answer these questions

Postal workers deliver vital services Canadians rely on — from seniors’ meds to small business shipping. The Liberals’ sweeping changes threaten jobs & our postal system. I’m proud to stand with @cupw, @unifor.org taxi drivers & allies to say: not on our watch! ✊

This morning I stood with @cupwsttp.bsky.social, @Unifor taxi drivers & labour allies. Good jobs & fair public services are under threat — but we won’t stand by. Canadians count on a strong public postal system. Together, we fight for fairness & dignity. #cdnpoli #canlab #FightForWorkers

Sept 30 reminds us to confront colonialism’s lasting harms. We must commit to change—by listening, learning & acting. The path to reconciliation begins with truth. #NDTR #OrangeShirtDay 🧡

Today, we remember Survivors, their families & all missing children. But remembrance is not enough—reconciliation demands action. I am committed to working with Indigenous communities to fight colonial injustices. #NDTR #EveryChildMatters 🧡

Sept 30 is #OrangeShirtDay & #TruthAndReconciliation Day. We honour Survivors, families & children lost to residential schools. Reconciliation starts with truth—so justice & transformation can follow. Every child matters. 🧡

Liberals are ending door-to-door mail delivery—hurting seniors, rural & Indigenous communities, and 9–5 workers. Canada Post should be built up, not torn down. #cdnpoli
