Important point from @brianbeutler.bsky.social: If Dems hold their fire on Trump's nominees, it will reduce pressure on GOP Senators, who should be getting absolutely hammered with pressure to draw a line against such insanely unfit and unqualified choices:

These are both really good books.
Been getting emails about books on the civil rights movement to read right now. My lists aren't limited to these, of course. But I wouldn't be the person I am, as an organizer, activist, or scholar, without these two books about the movement.
