Our old guy is 21. We had a stray kitten wander up a few months ago and has since become part of our family. I had forgotten what it’s like to have a kitten. The old guy seems a bit younger with the addition. Sometimes we catch them cuddling. Also, I’m very sorry for your loss. 💕
Our old guy, orange tabby snuggling with our new kitty a black and white kitty. Although the old guy pretends to be indifferent to him and the kitten annoys him trying to play with him, we sometimes find them like this.

Ummm I picked up what I thought was an earthworm and thought hmm it looks like it has a face lol.
Earthworm I think. It looks like it has eyes with eyelashes and a mouth and perhaps a crown of hair in worm form haha.

Stare down with this little horsefly, it hung around for a few hours and no bites, just curious. Those eyes!

I had a cool little visitor the other day. A cedar waxwing and I swear he wears his “shades” in full on bad ass mode. 🤣😎

I took this a few days ago. I don’t recall seeing so many over our town but this year it’s been happening the past few weeks.

Love when cedar waxwings hang around. 😍
Cedar waxwing in our apple tree. Cardinal like head feathers with smooth feathers that look velvety soft. Kind of orange to yellow with grey wings and black face mask with yellow tail tip colouring and tiny patch of red on wings not all these colours are visible in photo due to the apple tree leaves.

It’s blooming time in my yard!
White flowers opening on one of our pear trees. Pretty white flowers with blue stripes. Quite small little plants. Little purple flowers another small plant. One of the haskap bushes blooms. They are yellow and look similar to a honeysuckle bloom

The Tariff Act of 1930, also known as the Smoot–Hawley Tariff Act, was a protectionist trade measure signed into law in the United States by President Herbert Hoover on June 17, 1930 U.S. imports decreased 66% from $4.4 billion (1929) to $1.5 billion (1933), and exports decreased 61% from $5.4 billion to $2.1 billion. US gross national product fell from $103.1 billion in 1929 to $75.8 billion in 1931 and bottomed out at $55.6 billion in 1933.[21] Imports from Europe decreased from a 1929 high of $1.3 billion, to $390 million in 1932. U.S. exports to Europe decreased from $2.3 billion in 1929 to $784 million in 1932. Overall, world trade decreased by some 66% between 1929 and 1934.[22]
