dismissal is also your strategy with the checklist….dismissal is the admin’s strategy too…..a dismissal based approach won’t work
July 10, 2025 at 6:00 PM
didn’t say it was about making nice….is about strategy….people who have zero working relationships with anybody who voted for this admin are going to miss parts of the picture in some areas of the country, that’s all

my point is that the binary either/or doesn’t work; my neighbors would “pass” your checklist and they still
voted for him — value checklists will doom the Dems, and already has — there has to be other ways to actually communicate with people like my neighbors rather than dismiss them altogether
July 10, 2025 at 4:50 PM
both - my neighbors are “these people” - they live in a different information reality, are good people and neighbors, and exist deep within a value system based on that different information reality. Dems have to stop the binary “either they are brainwashed or they are sick” framing. It won’t work.

these numbers should still be chilling - that only 54% think it has gone too far, and 18% think it has just gotten started….I live around those 18% and it is not something to underestimate.

wtf — the AI of it and the evil of it and the absurdity of it and also the 4th grade level of imagination of it is, well, not unexpected at this point
July 10, 2025 at 4:49 AM
YES - it’s astonishing how deeply oblivious Dem-friendly analysts/experts seem to be about this fact: Being “accurate/right” with explanations is not a good strategy for countering the current admin and we are tired of being treated like students instead of action-ready souls.

Thank you!!!

My academic book publisher is making a deal for its catalog to be in some kind of contractual relstionship with AI-based acquistion and distribution. We can opt in or opt out. I have no idea how to decide or put their reasons in context. Could you post resources about that issue specifically?

“I’m free to do the work only a human can do” is for me the crux—in art-making isn’t ALL OF IT as a singular process “the work only a human can do”? We can’t splice it out “ethically” because the facets of artistic creation are porous. There’s no “panopticon” perch where boundaries can be decided.

I lived in Indonesia in my 20’s and now look back on all the times I hiked volcanoes through the night and am thinking “Hmmm, maybe not the best idea…”

the anti-Elon actions and momentum now needs to be directed at him - I don’t see how these congressional grilling sessions with him are effective - there has to be a coordinated strategy to counter him that the public also participates in, beyond calling reps etc
