Unfortunately, the law only requires 30 day notice and some announcement of the reason, bc of how much power the Pres has to fire executive branch employees, but a preemptive strike to take out the watchdogs is a terrible sign for what abuses Trump intends to commit through these agencies.

No, not in SDNY. In civil cases the magistrates handle discovery disputes but not in criminal cases.

There are also a couple Fox News hosts who are lawyers (Fox News cred is more valuable than actual experience - see Hegspeth): Gregg Jarrett and Shannon Bream in addition to Pirro. Or Trump could elevate DAG pick Todd Blanche, who while also lacking experience would be better than these clowns.
