For the second or third time in a month, I’ve woken up to play #wordle and my streak has been erased, even though I’d solved it the day before. What gives NYT? I live for that streak!

Seasoned authors, this first time author needs your advice.

Is it possible to successfully launch a book without Instagram? I just don’t think I can stomach it anymore but would suck it up if it would help me sell books.

Another day, another weird drawing. I’m on a roll right now because I’m making a point of carving out a little bit of time to draw everyday. I keep my sketchbook and pens next to my spot on the couch and draw while I watch TV.

How can you carve out some time to make something today? Do tell!

This is sort of a weird sketch, but I love it. I enjoyed drawing it and I worked up some new concepts in the process.

This is your reminder that you can be selfish with your art. If others don’t like it, oh well.

Make art because it makes you happy!

What are you working on today?

My first book comes out this summer!

Me & My Ballpoint Pen is packed with inspiration and step-by-step projects designed to teach you how to draw and shade with the humble ballpoint pen.

As I approach 50, I feel this more and more. I've got so much more to do!

Life is short. Times are tough. It’s time to find joy and fulfillment wherever you can and protect those you care about.

This is my new life philosophy.

#Authors how have you encouraged preorders of your books? Brainstorming for my first book which comes out in July!

How are you holding up? I feel so helpless. I'm not sure our democracy will survive the year, let alone the next 4 years. What do we do?

I'm working on a post about my experience working with a traditional book publisher as a first time author. It's a lot less glamourous than it seems. I'm talking money, timeline, pro and cons.

Join my mailing list for the scoop. I don't know if Bluesky throttles links, so visit my profile to join.

This is an easy way to contact your reps. We need to flood them with calls.
Want a super easy way to contact your reps about *gestures broadly*? I recommend the 5 Calls app. You input your zip code, and it pulls up info about the issue, provides scripts, and gathers your relevant reps. It makes it fast and simple.

Where do you consume your news now? I always used to turn to the NYT and NPR, but don't even know if I'm getting unbiased news there anymore.

In just a few weeks, our president has caused so much damage. I'm terrified and angry. How do we fight back? How do I fight back?

Since November, I've basically been living like the 2024 election didn't happen. I can't do that anymore. I must admit that I am scared for what's to come.

My every other Wednesday goes out tomorrow. I'll be sharing some new photos I had taken for the book along with an update on said book. (Working with a publisher can be hard and messy!)
