It was truly stunning and I'm happy to share at least a few glimpses here!

Then as the sun set, a beautiful mist rose more and more. During the sunset itself, the mist was illuminated in such a magical way, and on top of that was HUNDREDS of birds flying about to their nighttime roosts.

These images are from a STUNNING day my husband @ayayronpdx.bsky.social and I spent on Sauvie Island in December. It was raining heavily in Portland, but a small sunbreak was over the island. While the sun was still up, the landscape was bright and contrasty.
