Late last week, President Trump issued an executive order that directs federal agencies to terminate their Scientific Integrity Policies and interfere in science-based decision making.

“Each part of NOAA plays a role in monitoring, understanding, and predicting how the environment in which we live, work, and play is doing, and how it affects each of us.” Dismantling NOAA would be bad for weather forecasting, bad for our economy, and bad for public health.

Maybe if our schools were full of white South Africans, the US could have gun control.

Weather and climate research funds are being “chainsawed” from NOAA's budget. Last I checked, Louisiana & Florida, which are maximally susceptible to Hurricanes, voted Red in the last General Election.

Wondering if residents there knew in advance this would happen.

BREAKING: Senate Republicans just BLOCKED a resolution to end Trump's tariffs.

Despite how these tariffs are:
- crushing American small businesses,
- will force a massive tax INCREASE on everyone,
- and are pushing the country toward a painful recession.

I toured their Western Regional Center in Seattle and my message to Trump and Elon? Keep your hands OFF NOAA.

Washington state is the number one apple-producing state in the country & it relies heavily on international trade.  
 
I met with farmers in Yakima to hear firsthand how they need access to global markets to succeed.

Trump’s trade war is all pain and no plan—and it's families and small businesses who are suffering from the rising costs.

Republicans need to join Democrats and reverse these massive taxes on working Americans.

NEW: NOAA scientists are cleaning office bathrooms and reconsidering critical experiments after the Commerce Department failed to renew contracts for hazardous waste disposal, janitorial services, IT and building maintenance.

Every time you see one of these headlines, remember that Trump/Musk INTENTIONALLY gutted the fed govt agencies -NOAA & NWS- that monitor weather and provide all of the weather data you get on your phone, local forecast, etc. They are making us all less safe.
