Cracking holiday read. A catholic priest has a terrible secret. He doesn’t believe in God. A very pleasing book from beginning to its satisfying end. Quite a few laugh out loud moments. #BookSky

Books just find me. Last week I read an interview with Marianne Brown & that’s how I ended up spending snatched moments reading ‘The Shetland Way’.

Today, I will mostly be reading Agnes’s Callard’s book - The Case for a Philosophical Life.

I have written to the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel regarding FOI. I'm deeply concerned about Tom Binet's recent statement suggesting limiting the number of requests an individual can make due to his concern regarding costs and the allegedly vexatious nature of some FOI requests.

One of the wonderful things I love about spending time with my old school friend is doing the Guardian cryptic together. Not least because it’s great to get my hands on a paper copy (It’s not sold in Jersey).

Even though I’m a Humanist, I found visiting Chichester Cathedral today a great antidote to the cesspit that is Twitter.

My piece in today’s JEP. Grab a copy for ease of reading.

#Jersey 🇯🇪 friends - I’m having a big book clear out. Have a browse. If you want any, you can pick them up from my house in Gorey or I can bring them to the next repair café at the Parish Hall on the 11th of January 09:30 to 13:00. If you want to take a whole box, I can deliver east of the tunnel.

Well done to Deputy Inna Gardiner for pushing for action on the #PlayStrategy So much work has already been done. What message does this give to all the stakeholders who have been involved thus far - notably the Youth Parliament. Let’s get this over the line.
