Any article should of him should include her. Rosalind Franklin deserved the recognition and instead she was stiffed by that awful, petty man. (Rosalind Franklin's likeness, btw, is the only bust of a woman in the Old Library at Trinity College in Dublin).

Happy Halloween!

Victoria - this view will never get old. Made new connections, rekindled old ones, and stuffed my head full of ideas at the Canada West Health Leaders Conference. Aaaaannnd - I'm glad to be home now in my comfy pants. #yyj #HealthLeadership

A loooooong way out to the water - looking out over the tidal mud flats at Iona Regional Park, with stunning blue skies in the background and sand and driftwood in the foreground. #BlueSkyMonday

Fun times on a Friday night: my hairdryer broke, so we took it apart, figured out what melted (literally), cut the wires down, stripped a new section, popped on a new marrette, then managed to put it back together again. And! It works! (And no one was electrocuted). #RightToRepair

Spent the morning with the Byrne Creek Streamkeepers and Green Teams of Canada today pulling out metres and metres of English ivy at Byrne Creek. Very satisfying! We filled over two large bins' worth of invasives.

Good convo today at the @bccareproviders.bsky.social Care to Chat with the BC Minister of Health. I appreciated the recognition of the importance of community-based care. If we're going to provide best-in-class #HealthCare for older adults, we have to move away from an acute care-dominated model.

Whelp, the home team didn't take the Mann Cup home last night, but Queen's Park in #NewWest was a rockin' place and it was a spirited game. Congrats to the Six Nations Chiefs, and kudos to the Salmonbellies for playing the season out to the very end. Next year!

Atmosphere is electric here at Queen's Park in New West. Go Bellies!

Spent some time in a wild place, oscillating between being bundled under seven layers (no exaggeration) and being in shorts and a tank top. Worth it.

Trees bent over in a ravine create an unexpected symmetry of straight lines in a place that is otherwise characterized by the curving line of rushing water.

Did some exploring down the Reinecker FSR to capture this beauty. Blooming woolly mullein in the foreground, with forest and a moody sky in the background. #NatureSky

So...about that answer, NY Times. Could you, perhaps, not use a slur grounded in ageism in your crossword? #ageism

#Stunday living at its finest. View of Edge and a section of Golden Ears from the eastern side, with Gold Creek in the foreground.

You can see the bloom forming. Several hours later, the entire lake was covered.

Happy #CanadaDay to my fellow Canucks. Grateful to call this place home - imperfect as it may be, there's no other place I'd rather be.

We've already hit peak gas-powered vehicles (in 2017 or 2018, depending on the source). The International Energy Agency predicts we'll hit peak oil demand by 2028. (Yes, I know OPEC just released a contradicting report. I'll let you consider the impartiality of that forecast, given OPEC's purpose).

Great day today in #Kelowna for the IG Wealth Management Walk for #Alzheimers. Walk honourees Michele and Chuck Liebrock led the way. Great turnout and great job by the volunteer organizers!

You don't get to do that every day. Took advantage of the break in the weather to walk across the Patullo Bridge in #NewWest while the bridge is closed to vehicle traffic.

Even in the rain, #yvr is a beautiful place. A shot taken in Yaletown of a square with colorful pink and red umbrellas suspended in the air. Trees frame one side, while a heritage brick building is in the background. A solitary pedestrian walks with an umbrella underneath the canopy.

Upon pink petals,
in my solitude, I tread.
Vibrant. Fleeting. Gone.

Cherry blossoms and blue skies = perfection.

Spent a beautiful morning picking up over 560 cigarette butts and 8 large buckets of garbage. Neighbourhood looks much nicer! (And got several "thank-you's" from folks, which was nice).

This is a totally fine outcome of a totally planned, definitely well-thought out, trade war. Right? (S&P500, 5 day).
