Next year I will be running the NYC Half Marathon to support the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation in memory of my mom. If you feel like supporting this cause, my fundraising page is linked. If you leave the name to honor or remember someone, I'd be happy to carry it with me. F*ck cancer.

I would code 500 lines
And I would code 500 more
Just to be the one who coded 1,000 lines
instead of writing function at_your_doh_oh_or()

duh-duh-duh-duht-duh 🙃🤪🤣

‘Call’ and ‘dial’ are synonyms.

But, a ‘booty call’ and a ‘butt dial’ are VERY different things.

Could programmers from the 80's understand today's code?

Could todays programmers understand code from the 80's?

My brother, I don't understand my own code from last week. Every line I write is a bespoke bit of spontaneous genius that even I am incapable of deciphering mere days after writing it.

Evidence-based decisions are made on whatever evidence exists, including no evidence. For change to occur, evidence must exist. Therefore make complaints! Report that incident! Send that concerned email! And don't feel any shame or discomfort - you aren't being a bother, you're generating evidence.

Here's a small good thing you can do all month long.

Two, actually.

1. Like, share, and comment on any library post featuring Pride books or messaging that's positive. You can influence the algorithm for good.

2. Write a letter to your library board thanking the library for Pride displays.

🧵 Why Typology Is Strategy—And What Comes Next

Fighting disinformation doesn’t start with facts.
It starts with clarity.

This 11-type, 3D framework helps us define the problem before we act.

Because if you can’t name it, you can’t counter it.

🧵 Why Definitions Matter in the Fight Against Disinformation

If you want to fight disinfo, you need to know what you’re fighting.

And that’s harder than it sounds.

Terms like “fake news” are too vague.

We need a shared vocabulary—and researchers have built one.
