to think at first they couldn’t even be in the same room together

last year’s garden was my most challenging year yet, between extreme weather, pest and disease pressure, and finding a jumping worm infestation. but with the distance of a few months i can look back at my accomplishments with a kinder eye, and feel ready to plan for the upcoming season 🩷

the earth is finally tilting back toward the sun hitting the living room

she probably worked on this quilt between 1980-1990, before i was born and well before the convenience of acrylic rulers, rotary cutters, and self healing cutting mats. just a woman with a vision, a pair of scissors, and 2 cardboard templates. i’m honored to complete her work 30+ years later
