To preserve our humanity, I think it's important to be offline more. The truth is we can get all the news we need in one or two sittings a day, and then decide what to do about it, one day at a time. Platforms like this one can be helpful, but like everything else in life, dosage matters!

In terms of strategy, there are things we should emulate (discipline, repetition, presence in nonpolitical spaces) and things we should not (lying, demonization, division).
In terms of substance, for me it always comes back to freedom, security, and democracy.

Insane article. The vast majority of this increase is because we were exposed to burn pits in Iraq and Afghanistan. It’s our generation’s agent orange.
