Found this this morning - piltdown man was mentioned in my first ever archaeology lecture and this was my introduction to the amazing Dr Russell. Such a fascinating case, I love it and was the first book I owned that was archaeology based!

This #hillfortswednesday I want to show the magnificent hill fort known as Badbury Rings! This needs more excavations done but it is a fascinating example of Iron Age Dorset and the #durotriges

This is one of my fave in my collection a #romancoin found in Somerset,UK in the 1940s originally thought to be a foreign coin after I cleaned it turns out it’s a coin from C1st CE.
