The CBC is reminding us that condemning violence without confronting racist ideology is hollow.
And that honoring someone who denied systemic racism, mocked Black leaders, and pushed white nationalist conspiracy theories isn’t about healing, it’s actually about creating a martyr out of a myth.

On January 6, 2021, a mob prayed right before breaking into the Capitol in a violent insurrection. On July 3, GOP politicians prayed again to pass the Big Ugly Bill. Now the insurrection is coming from inside the House.
