What's more, because the UK is a *pretty darn capitalist* country, those with money are still entitled to buy the healthcare of their choice, at the price of their choice - whether via private health insurance, bank loan or savings - but crucially, in the majority of cases they don't *have* to.

As my evening commute along suburban streets with parked vehicles now takes place in the dark I don't now know whether I am irritated more by people who don't bother to thank me when I give way to them or those who thank me by dazzling me with a flash of full beam.

As my evening commute along suburban streets with parked vehicles now takes place in the dark I don't now know whether I am irritated more by people who don't bother to thank me when I give way to them or those who thank me by dazzling me with a flash of full beam.

When it's dark I'll only flash my headlights as a warning, because it dazzles.
If I want to thank someone in front of me I'll briefly switch from headlights to sidelights only and back. Likewise where context indicates an invitation. Easy, doesn't dazzle, gets the message safely across.
