In the process of preparing materials for our workshop in the afternoon, and might be slightly exaggerating how miserable I was in the period of moving from Scotland back home 😂
This is my “career journey” timeline that starts in 2017, reading “Graduated w/ BA Phil.” Then there is an arrow at the peak which says “Moved to Scotland” with the Scottish Flag (drawn badly). Above the line at 2018 it reads “MSc Mind, Language and Embodied Cognition”. The line then dips to “The Dark Ages 2018-2019” but in 2021, labelled in red, I have my “first pub”.

My only non-dystopian example of habit stacking is when the water in the nespresso machine gets too low to make coffee, I use the last drops to water my plant.

I normally kill things by over/under watering but this girl is THRIVING
I believe this is called a “money plant”. It’s in a pot shaped like an elephant (with it’s top sliced off, but not in a gruesome way)

Third stop - the big one - was at the restaurant Klara. I ate there with the conference committee before so I already knew it was good, but this time I tried the iced tea, tacos, summer rolls and a cookie!

Stop two was a zero waste shop where I was allowed to fill this jar with (almost) everything. I went for a herb mix with chili, garlic, parsley and flower petals!

First stop on the food tour is rhubarb ice tea (very refreshing) and something called “Basler Gold” at Bäkerei KULT.

Kinda reminds me a bit of frangipan and short bread! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A glass of deliciously pink rhubarb ice tea and a rectangular, golden cake which is slightly crunch on the outside and a mixture of cakey and biscuity on the inside. Sehr lecker!

The Palazzo Trinci in Foligno - a patrician residence dating back to around 1400. It’s a mixture of neoclassical and gothic architecture, with curved archways and pillars made of this golden stone. Inside one of the famous Taverna’s of Foligno (Taverna de La Mora) which has a vaulted ceiling and gold/green bunting. The delegates chat around long tables in in the middle is the crest of the district of The Rione La Mora, which is a mulberry tree on a green background. Beautiful star jasmine! Title: "Intersectional Invisibility, Understanding and Mental Health" The rest reads, starting from the top purple box to top yellow, left pink, bottom yellow, right pink, and then bottom purple box: Key idea: Some people are not seen to ‘typify’ categories of people with mental disorder These people may then be excluded from group-level projects and feel ‘invisible’ This has direct and indirect impacts on self-understanding Intersectional invisibility: Intersectional invisibility: when an individual occupies multiple group identities, of which one or more of them is a marginalised identity Through the combination of these identities someone is perceived as an atypical member of a social category, and therefore invisible with respect to the social structures of prejudice and privilege (Purdie-Vaughns and Eibach 2008) Invisibility in mental health: Some individuals might not typify the group ‘people with mental disorder’ E.g. the super-rich, “too privileged to be ill” Some people might not typify other groups because of their mental disorder E.g. men with mental disorder not seen as ‘men’ due to harmful stereotypes that “real men don’t cry” Some people may just not typify disorder categories E.g. men with BPD or eating disorders How does someone become invisible?: Invisibility is felt when certain social structures that apply to others with the same identity don’t apply to you. Sartre’s (1978) distinction between ‘group’ and ‘series’ can make sense of this. Made a little hand-out for my session on Thursday. We're going to be running "For the Queen" to show everyone how easy it is to play an RPG (and you don't even need a pro-GM like me!)
Handout titled "Roleplaying Games for Mental Health with Jodie Russell", flanked by a wizard casting fireball and a robot. The sections read: "What is a role-playing game?" Role-playing games (RPGs) are a type of game where players pretend to be characters in an imaginary setting. RPGs vary widely in style and complexity. Usually, players act out or describe a story or narrative. "What have they been used for?" RPGs have been used in research, healthcare, professional development and education settings. RPGs ask us to take up different roles or characters, these games allow us to explore different situations, take up different perspectives, and solve problems. They are also a lot of fun! "What do I need to get started?" Nothing at all! A game can start by simply narrating what your character does. It often helps to have prompts and rules in order to guide the narrative and resolve any issues that crop up. Look for a game ‘system’ or ruleset.
