Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Right now there are a lot of new eyes on Signal, and not all of them are familiar with secure messaging and its nuances. Which means there’s misinfo flying around that might drive people away from Signal and private communications. 1/

The ATProto conference is tomorrow. I strongly recommend supporting the community and buying a live stream ticket. But... If you can't justify paying for a livestream ticket you can just set the value to 0 and watch anyway. What's stopping you?
