Jakob is so cool. Only been an affiliate for a year and is already streaming like a pro.

Looking forward to hanging out and day drinking again next time I am in SF.
And this was the other VCR. You know. The one where my streamer friends made me cry by saying nice things.

Why, as a society, did we stop making films that include the meme of someone chugging from a bottle of Pepto Bismol?

For people that really dislike the taste of champagne but still want to celebrate the new year with a hangover, I highly recommend bourbon mixed with sparkling cider.

I can't be the only one that side-eyes their fridge from time to time because of the movie Requiem for a Dream... right?

We all know the myth of the boiling frog, right?
eg: if you raise the temp slowly enough, a frog will let itself be boiled.

Wrong, it just jumps out when too hot.
But people? Who else would dangerously soak in a hot tub out of laziness?

Frogs have a stronger self-preservation instinct than people.

A viewer asked if I could design a language that....
and I started tuning out.

I'm an app dev, I will use the language that let's me accomplish my goals. Being picky about languages and trying to design my own.... nope, couldn't be me.

I'm on the fence about how I'm doing permissions in my app, Messijo.
Each team can have admin, write, and read users.

But, I also have the concept of SuperAdmin which is really just app staff(me for now). These user's can do impersonation as an admin member of an org. For debugging and support.

So I'm planning a meal tonight and made the mistake of listening to Silverchair's "Tomorrow".

As I look down at my belly: you gonna wait til fat boy, fat boy, til carbonaraaaaaa!!!!

You know the phrases that basically mean "the site drove so much traffic that it took down your website"?
There was "The Digg Effect", getting "Slashdotted", and these days, the Reddit "Hug of Death".

What is it for Hackernews? I propose the "Umm Ackshually of Death".

If you aren't overengineering something, are even engineering at that point?

PSA: If you are running into filesystem watchers for your dev servers not actually updating the page in your browser and you haven't rebooted in over half a year, maybe give that a try before you start pulling your hair out.

If you use shadcn (or any of its wrappers like neobrutalism) and you also use @code, you should probably set up these auto-import exclude filters.

If you were born in the 80's you were statistically conceived to Peter Gabriel or Phil Collins. I feel like you can kind of tell these days which one...

We've all heard of T-shaped developers. Maybe you've even heard of M-shaped devs.
Where my other comb-shaped developers at?

First person to make a comb-over joke is getting blocked.

Someone on stream mentioned that they had to help a friend with a subversion issue. Well that's your first issue, using subversion. All subsequent issues stem from there.

I present to you the "what smells so good?" seasoning:
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- paprika
- cayenne pepper

If you want to try-hard it, use fresh onion and garlic.
Works for Chicken, Shrimp, Pork, and more.

So the road to Stevens Pass is not looking good due to flooding washing out parts of the road.

If I HAD to go somewhere for the next few months so I can ride powder and a bit of park, what resorts are having a decent season so far? Canada and US only as I am not prepared for intl travel right now.
