I find it disgusting when people show excitement about something that can result in people being hurt or killed. How would people who lost loved ones in traffic accidents or heart attacks as a result of the wintry weather feel if they knew others were excited about that weather occurring?

Seems like there should be a sanity check that would not allow the ranges to exceed a certain value. If the range exceeds that threshold then limit the range to that threshold, regardless of the distribution. It would be better to have that than what is there now, and it being mocked or disregarded.

Was it ever an obsession?

I am shocked by how quickly she intensified. Not shocked because it was as a surprise (it was not per forecasts), just shocked that it happened so fast.
