Even if you accept the premise and decision, which I absolutely do not, it is the simplest thing to phone the visa holder, tell them their visa is revoked and say they have a month to leave the country. Accosting someone on the street like a kidnapping is just a spectacle of terror.

When you send innocent people to a foreign gulag, you are not fighting terror. You are practicing it.

If the Supreme Court ultimately agrees with what the gov't is arguing today, that the President has broad Article II powers that would permit it to deport people & there can be no judicial review, then literally no one is safe.

I don’t have to agree with the Gaza protestors to defend their right to protest.

And I don’t have to want Venezuelan gang members to be here on our soil, to defend their right to due process.

Either we are a nation of laws or we are not.

And if we are not, then all is lost.

You don’t know who we just disappeared to El Salvador. Think about that.

The reality here is very simple: Trump thinks there is no limit on his power, that he can spend money how he likes, jail who he likes, rule by fiat, criminalize criticism of himself. He is breaking the law and ignoring the Constitution. And we can either acknowledge that or keep pretending he isn’t.
