Well, the Ohio Supreme Court granted an emergency stay pending appeal of that decision.
In Ohio these types of orders are almost never reasoned but dissents are noted. Perhaps there's a ray of hope that there were 3 noted dissents on this 6-1 GOP majority court?

Had a great time chaperoning Nagel Middle School's 7th grade field trip to @cincinnatizoo.bsky.social. New elephant area on northern end of the zoo is wonderful. If you visit in the summer you can find my older kid volunteering there! Thanks to the district for giving the kids these opportunities

Had a great time chaperoning Nagel Middle School's 7th grade field trip to @cincinnatizoo.bsky.social. New elephant area on northern end of the zoo is wonderful. If you visit in the summer you can find my older kid volunteering there! Thanks to the district for giving the kids these opportunities

I grew up in NE Ohio, next door to an operation with several thousand trees. I've been doing it here since about 2018. You just never know what you're going to get. Made about 3 qt last year, which was disappointing given that I ran nine taps. (I'd only done 4 in past years.)

I feel like there's a shortage of owls on the timeline lately. I saw this short-eared owl recently at Fernald Nature Preserve in Hamilton County, Ohio, USA. This little guy was about a quarter mile away, in fading light. #birds
