In case some of y'all are wondering what the actual fuck is going on rn in MacArthur Park: Trump's trying to claim it's a "MS-13 hotbed."
It's a PARK FFS! Are the "gangbangers" hiding in the bushes? Using scuba gear to hide in the water?

Posting this in full bc Justice Sotomayor is – or, rather, was – famous for always stating she "respectfully" dissented from a given ruling.
But our wise Latina jurist knows full well that there's nothing to respect here.
"I dissent" has evolved into her own means of protest, saved for the worst.

While I am extremely displeased with today's birthright citizenship ruling, it doesn't change the reality that Trump is – as per usual – wrong.
Birthright citizenship is not a "hoax," nor did the Court decide anything about its constitutionality. This was a ruling against nationwide injunctions.

I can think of no higher praise for @repjasmine.bsky.social to be namechecked as one of Trump's "low IQ" women.
He only does that for the ones he knows are a threat – and a strong Texas Black woman like Jasmine is precisely that.
The writing's already on the wall in NYC. Which is why he's scared.

For those who might be curious whether Trump has the slightest doubt whatsoever about his insane decision to bomb Iran, given that he did *not* take out Iran's nuclear capabilities: nope.
Quite the absurdist opposite, actually. 🤦♂️

To answer the "how high?" question: millions, but not exactly. The priciest one ever made was a bespoke model with exactly 2,712 inlaid diamonds, and with rose gold for the metal hardware.
The most expensive one ever sold at auction without bejeweled hardware is the Himalaya Birkin, for $300K.

Since it doesn't seem to have been discussed yet here: the WH has no ballroom bc it doesn't need one, despite Trump's opinion.
Also, this "fun" project will cost taxpayers at least $100 million. (Trump claims it'll be paid by "donors," which seems as likely as Mexico paying for the Wall.)

Note to self: buy 4x as much popcorn as normal at Costco. This show will likely last a rather long time, and with a total fuckload of overwrought drama from the story's chief villain.

Just to clarify how woefully pathetic this "testing period" is: Waymo spent FIVE FUCKING *YEARS* testing AVs on public roads – after spending a full decade on R&D. Further, they did so in a Phoenix suburb with light traffic & wide roads.
In this case "move fast & break stuff" would apply to PEOPLE.

Is it possible they ... haven't told him about the tariff ruling yet? This nonreaction is otherwise inexplicable.
We should let him get a pointless bitchery in before the rest of his week is ruined.

He posted this at 6:22am, presumably after a somewhat lengthy period rage-texting this all-caps post on his iPhone. Curiously, it was *not* his first of the day: that one was an hour *earlier*.
What kind of sick fuck still posts this shit on Memorial Day, especially draft-dodging Capt. Bone Spurs?

Was she listening to a smidge too much Carole King?
I'm more bothered by a perhaps unusual abuse – for an article about academia – of a common realtor abuse.
How many steps is that: 300? 400?

Golly. Nice parting gift.
Oh, and no biggie about the DOD upgrading it with billions in protective gear. And no conflict of interest with Trump retaining this heavily customized 747.
(but srsly this is warped & inexplicable)

While I'm not religious in the least, I'm very glad to see our new pontiff going after JD Vance so quickly after being anointed.
OTOH it may have been for self-preservation, considering JD killed the last one.

While the rumor that Harvard itself edited the letter was false, most of these edits look correct. Some of this shit is "GOP-speak," e.g. the term "Democrat Party," but it mostly reflects the appalling grammar of a graduate of a podunk university in the '60s who thinks she's "better" than POC.

Linda McMahon is being severely trolled for her admittedly appalling grammar – as our secretary of education, that is – in this letter posted on X. She seems to think she's "owning the libs" with more tired demands, but in reality only making herself look like an epic asshole.

Remember the whole bit about 50x rent? How the AF did Josefina get around THAT? (No, it's not bc she moved to Brooklyn.) Also, she lives in trendy Greenpoint with this as her view (in part).

Sure, totally normal for a dude to be up at 5am pretending to be shocked to discover that trans judges exist. 🤦♂️
Also: Lil Donnie, the reason you're having a hard time following reality is twofold. Your dad's trying to ghostlight you along w/the rest of the world, and you're doing WAY too much blow.

I'm posting this grotesque Truth Social comment almost in full because the real truth behind it is even more grotesque: CBS News caved in to Trump – the longtime head of "60 Minutes" resigned earlier this week – solely bc their parent company, Paramount, thought he'd block their merger.

While I wish #Waymo would migrate away from that other site, this is genuinely awesome news – as well as seismic: until now Waymo has kept its cards close to vest about its future plans, but expanding beyond rideshares into ownership is HUGE!
