I was hoping that 3 surgeries & 12 rounds of chemo in 20 months was the end of it…but cancer is back.☹️

It’s a rather aggressive SOB, but was caught early. ⏱️

Irinotecan/Bevacizumab therapy begins today.💉

I’m positive and up for a fight.💪

Thanks for all the love & support! ♥️

@TheDailyShow A-block was powerful & well produced tonight. We should ALL be as angry and flabberghasted as @jonstewart was at the end of the segment.

And btw: UT senator Mike Lee is a wretched person.

Panthers' Renfrow: Ulcerative colitis led to year out of NFL - ESPN

I’ve dealt with UC since 2009. It certainly isn’t conducive to playing (or broadcasting)sports.

Love that Renfrow is back. Sounds like he has it well managed.

Must get regularly screened for colon cancer. (That saved my life!)

They had lawyers, trials, most were given pretrial release, allowed to testify in their own defense, got discovery, could call witnesses, could cross-examine witnesses, could present mitigation at sentencing, and had a right to appeal.

A related thing: The right wing media ecosystem has successfully branded all Media (capital M) as if they are DC Media elite. It’s of course bullshit.

A news reporter in Alabama or Ohio is far closer economically to most Americans than any Fox News host or bigtime podcaster.

Just massive kayfabe.
Conversely, the American cable news industry has had too many moments, at least when I have watched, where the tenor is frivolous and not serious.

Yeah, real hilarious when dudes are questioning the very sovereignty of a nation — the same nation of Operation Yellow Ribbon during 9/11.

First page of Trumps playbook:

Take credit for others’ successes. Blame others for your failures.

As he and MAGA believes: Trump is the first person in human history to have NEVER made a mistake.

Never owns anything! (except failed businesses)

Honestly, the ONLY reason I had to check Twitter/X is for NFL and other sports news.

Bluesky (the far superior experience) just didn’t have enough of the teams and as many of the big sports journalists / commentators on the platform.

That is changing today it appears!

Intellectually, I go back and forth on this.

Sports could not feel more insignificant today given the global news.

Sports media?

Ten levels of insignificance below that.

Yet people also need joy and escapism away from this if only to go to a better place even briefly.

And sports does that.
