In the spirit of this place and positivity, I am going to start a post that includes some random Petco Park scoreboard fun facts from over the years.

Hearing that former Padres manager and Twins bench coach Jayce Tingler has agreed to join Tony Vitello's staff in San Francisco. Tingler and Vitello were college teammates at Missouri and have remained close friends, so this is a very predictable outcome.

Future HOF manager Bruce Bochy tells me he's content with taking the uniform off and rejoining the Giants in an advisory role. It took just 90 minutes at a Nashville restaurant with Tony Vitello to convince Bochy that Buster Posey made a smart hire to manage. www.nytimes.com/athletic/678...

Ducks grabbed an empty netter for a fifth goal but there was no 5-quack PA. Gg Ducks (and great turnout by Detroit fans).
Just had a “quack, quack, quack, quack.” I can’t.
In the span of less than five minutes, the Dodgers won in the most dumb of ways, the Wings had a wide open goal overturned by kicking, and the Ducks subsequently made their announcer say “Quack, quack, quack.” I am not ok.
