I finished the new Witcher novel last month and was very pleased with the whole thing. Crossroads of Ravens was just about exactly what I wanted out of a standalone Geralt story.
The Witcher remains better in standalone format than as a saga, in my opinion.

I’ve enjoyed my time with Pokemon Legends: Z-A, but the online Battle Club was simply not given the attention it deserved during development. Aside from the sheer lack of options or modes, it’s buggy and unpolished. Here’s my Drampa respawning with half its HP missing.

Yesterday I told a few friends about how the Nintendo Store app shows how much they played a game on a specific day, and I could pinpoint the exact moment where they made the harrowing realization they could see the ungodly amount of hours they put into Animal Crossing during COVID 😂

I’m very curious now if the Okami sequel announced last year will follow up at all on its story, or just ignore it altogether. Obviously Okamiden is nowhere near as well known, but there are some pretty significant story and lore implications in it for the Nippon setting.

It’s hardly perfect; the cutscenes often overstay their welcome, and the story doesn’t quite add up at the end, but there’s actually parts of it that I prefer to the original Okami. If nothing else, it is a much leaner experience than its padded predecessor. Okamiden has far better pacing

My playthrough got interrupted by Pokemon Legends Z-A, but I finally finished Okamiden last night.
I had to keep reminding myself that it was an original DS game and not from the 3DS. Even as a compressed take on Okami, it’s amazing how they got a 3D adventure game to exist on the DS.

Damn, sad to hear about Tomonobu Itagaki’s passing. His work on the 3D Ninja Gaiden games was nothing short of incredible. Those were the among the very best in the action genre at their time, and to this day they hold up magnificently.

I’ve been replaying Castlevania: Circle of the Moon for the first time in probably close to 20 years, and man those Zombie Dragons are still as brutally difficult as I remembered them being 😂😂
