School is starting all over Michigan, and Republicans have still not passed a full budget proposal. Schools deserve better and taxpayers deserve to see House Republicans' proposal.

Medicaid cuts don't save money. They push the costs to you.

The Republicans' plan means that we pay more for a worse outcome, all to line the pockets of the wealthy elites.

Proposed cuts to food assistance will hurt kids, older adults, and our state budget.

Parents of kids shouldn't get cut off when their kids are older and hungrier, and older adults shouldn't be cut off, forcing them to choose between rising costs for food, medicine, and housing.

Michigan needs to follow through on our new literacy laws. Last year, we passed literacy legislation that weaves the science of reading into early elementary reading instruction.

Now, we need a budget that follows through on the training, coaches, and high-quality literacy materials that we need.
