Adam Kinzinger is worth a follow.
This isn’t parody. It’s a message attributed to the sitting U.S. president arguing the world isn’t safe unless America has “complete and total control” of Greenland—because he didn’t get a Nobel Prize.

Apparently Europe is coalescing around a strategy to negotiate with Trump on Greenland. I believe this will fail. To my friends in Europe, it appears that you still do not understand Trump's psychology. I will try to help.

I find it fascinating that there is all of this focus by MAGA on illegal immigration. As if this is causing some great harm to our society. To be fair, there are some harms. There are also some benefits. So why all the focus on immigration? Why not other problems, like speeding? Let's take a look.

One of the things I love about the streaming era of music is that there are no limits on the length of a recording. Check out this new one from State Azure, clocking in at 90 minutes. Epic!

Was watching this striking video interpretation of the AI 2027 Project: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KVD...

Joni Mitchell's lyrics came through my head:

We are stardust, we are golden
We are caught in the devil's bargain
And we've got to get ourselves
Back to the garden

That hit kinda hard.

With the tremendous impact AI is having, we can feel compelled to ask, "What's next?"

Max Bennett has written a truly excellent overview of the very long history of intelligence in a book called "A Brief History of Intelligence".

I've written a short review of it here: fohl.com/blog/the-ver...

In the software and design communities there is a lot of worry about AI replacing jobs. This worry is justified, but new jobs are on the horizon. One of these jobs might be called the Intelligence Designer.

Here are the beginnings of my thoughts on this possible new role: fohl.com/blog/the-ris...

Vivaldi's Sonata "La Follia" written in 1703 has the same energy as today's drum and bass or metal. I'm imagining some long hairs head banging to this 16th century Venice: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nDm...

A lot of people these days seem to think that an advanced civilization is measured by how advanced their technology is. This is incorrect. The true measure is how well the members of that society treat one another.

And now, for something completely different.

Recently, I was invited to participate in a design challenge. The challenge was to redesign an everyday experience that I enjoy. I even made a fake marketing website for it.

I left much of social media years ago, due to the many fundamental, severe flaws I saw in the platforms. I don't think these flaws have been resolved, but I am willing to give it all another try. What I can control is how I personally interact with the platforms. We shall see how it goes!
