I love the concept of a black bag, a thing that exists but we don’t need to talk about. (Or, colloquially, “for me to know and you to find out”). Here are some items that are going in my black bag for future relationships, never to be mentioned again:

Another character (and suspect), Marisa Abela’s Clarissa, later notes how accepting there are things you can’t talk about in a relationship could destroy it: “When you can lie about everything, how do you tell the truth about anything?”

Since George and Kathryn each harbor so many state secrets the other isn’t supposed to know, they use a safe word to avoid spilling confidential information. When George asks Kathryn why she’s off to Switzerland, for example, she doesn’t give a reason. She just responds, “Black bag.”

As much as the film works as a psychological thriller, it also functions as a sharp commentary on the tension between honesty and mystery within a marriage.

W-W says Meta let advertisers know when 13-17 y-os were feeling depressed saying, this is a good time to try to serve them an ad. "If a 13-year-old girl would delete a selfie that was considered a good time to try to sell her a beauty product. This was taken as a signal and shared with advertisers."
