Things are -- at least anecdotally -- picking up. I know the industry won't be what it was but I'm hoping it can be back to a place that can employ more people regularly. In the meantime, trust that I am counting my blessings daily and thanking the powers that be that I am where I'm at. (/end)

I know I'm a talented strong producer but my field is FULL of talented strong producers. I've been feeling survivor's guilt; I've worked steadily with a flourishing career while so many folks have been scrambling and it's disconcerting to say the least. I'm very appreciative but damn. (3/)

The retraction started in 2022 and is now only slowly getting better. It's been gutting to witness. Of all of us working back in 2021, about 1/3 of us are still working regularly in unscripted TV. Many talented editor, producer & coordinator friends are now out of the industry altogether. (2/)
