I can def. see the local dimming zones now that they're both hooked up, which makes me appreciate the XDR more for sure. But! I don't think there's $3200 worth of difference between these; most people desperate for 6K that need their monitor to be pretty should buy this. Even over the Asus IMO.

arguably not enough local dimming zones for a monitor with a $5000 price tag, but yes this is true :P

I use Plex + Plexamp, which is technically a paid solution (but one-time with lifetime Plex Pass). You can do the same thing with Jellyfin or Navidrome + various clients, which are OSS.

I care about design and got Plex Pass for cheap so there's no incentive for me to switch to the OSS variants.

I think the other side of the coin that y'all are still missing is consistency in decisionmaking. If your decisions aren't consistent then people still won't be able to trust you no matter how transparent. I'm not in T&S but I have watched many companies grow from nothing. This is critical.

And if you’re not being serious, people are going to stop taking you and your platform seriously. If we can’t look around at where we are and agree that the usual milquetoast white liberal bullshit is no longer serving us, then I don’t even know what we’re doing here.
