Today is the first Give a Fat Thanks for Giving Dinner and I have been cooking for 24 hours. But I am on sked and that's a fact, Jack. Prepare for food photos.

Made the greens so they can soak for maximum FLAVA. The pot likker is delish. Turkey is already thawing and doing the onion tart today and freezing. Maybe same for the pumpkin pie. (Preparing for two holiday dinners.)

Skirt steak fajitas with homemade corn tortillas.

The temperature dip gave me an excuse to make the first fire in the new house. Simple pleasures.

Enjoying some of the summer Peach Truck peaches I canned tucked away in puff pastry.
Some quickie peach turnovers hot out of the oven, sitting on white parchment paper. They are glazed with egg wash and sprinkled with sugar. The interior of the pastry is hot with soft summer peach, mixed with sugar and cinnamon.
