I just noticed the do-not-enter sign in your profile picture! I took a bunch of photos of similar signs in Italy about 5–7 years ago. I did take a lot of photos of Roman ruins, etc., but then there are my photos of street art.

I tried preparing the banana in the chopper-thing, but it wouldn't fit, and (to be honest) I don't think I have the peeling attachment.

Too busy trying to peel this thing! This takes longer than it should!

Also, the song of a barred owl is famously said to sound like it's calling out, "Who cooks for you? Who cooks for you all?"

The answer: brave Starbucks workers. They want to have a good job keeping you caffeinated. They're cooking for you. Support them. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SwM...

Oh, you definitely do not want to cross a barn owl. If you do, this will be the last thing you hear: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHz2...

This barred owl is watching you to ensure that you do not buy Starbucks coffee during the strike. Owls have excellent hearing, so it'll know if you cross the picket line. And they fly nearly silently. You'll never know what hit you.

That's just enchanting! Thank you.

I still find it incredibly creepy that the adolescent human depicted has no arms. Not a human at all. Just an object.

So happy for Gladys and Olivia and all the rest of you! Those cupcakes must have been fantastic, judging by the amount of happy pig drool at about the 1:10 minute mark! LOL.

Why are the books organized by color and size? Well, obvs, because they're just there cosplaying as books. But seriously, having shelves of books like that is just a way of saying "no one in this building reads anything."

Glad to hear! I love the book (esp. b/c I have a magnificent edition of it), and the portrayal of the monster in the book is SO much more interesting. I've been excited about this new movie, especially after reading that del Toro has been obsessed with the novel for decades. Can't wait to see it!

"then the helicopter planted a 20 kilo bomb in among them terrific flash and the boat went all to matchwood. then there was a wonderful shot of a child’s arm going up up up right up into the air...."
