I just noticed the do-not-enter sign in your profile picture! I took a bunch of photos of similar signs in Italy about 5–7 years ago. I did take a lot of photos of Roman ruins, etc., but then there are my photos of street art.

I tried preparing the banana in the chopper-thing, but it wouldn't fit, and (to be honest) I don't think I have the peeling attachment.

Too busy trying to peel this thing! This takes longer than it should!

This barred owl is watching you to ensure that you do not buy Starbucks coffee during the strike. Owls have excellent hearing, so it'll know if you cross the picket line. And they fly nearly silently. You'll never know what hit you.

Last fall, NH had a selections of stickers to choose from, all designed by elementary school students in the state. It was awesome. This was the one I chose.

Today in Bad Bird Photos: Ruffed Grouse Edition! There are two ruffies hanging around the woods behind the house. This makes me inordinately happy.

Photo taken with crappy old iPhone through good binoculars. Actually a pretty good photo (for me).

Real cats are so much better. Like this little guy, such a goofball that you have to assume he's somehow part orange cat.

Such a beautiful cat! Very happy for you both that he's better. I have a cat named Artemis too. She says hello to a fellow Artemis from one of her favorite top-of-the-bookcase perches in the place where we used to live.

I saw this sign at the local No Kings protest in June.

Timeline cleanse / moment of peace and beauty, in case anyone needs it. The Connecticut River, between Vermont and New Hampshire. Broad and blue and calm.

Just an idea here. Surely some clever person can come up with an envelope to go with the stamp.

Still one of my cherished possessions. The Nixon Envelope (1995) by Tricky Envelopes in Santa Cruz, CA.

"in a world of AI-generated conformity, use *our AI* to stand out"

F that. In a world of AI-generated conformity, here's the world's worst photo of a bunch of wild turkeys in the yard. Still 100% better than AI crap. 🪶

Here's something that's pretty cheap, super easy to prepare, and really tasty, in case you're interested. And it's healthy.

It's from Deborah Madison's "Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone."

I usually make it in an easier way than how it is written in the original recipe:

Lovely! I've never seen one.

And it's not a clear photo (taken through a window with a screen), but I sometimes get cute little bobcats wandering through the back yard.

When you live in northern New Hampshire, you get can get a slice of Italian pizza (as opposed to the other kinds of pizza) at the Casa di Pizzeria.

I just won a blue ribbon for a quilt at the local fair here in northern New Hampshire. It's a small quilt (about 2' x 3'), pieced and quilted by hand. On the surface, it's pretty simple (just a straightforward 9-patch pattern), but the quilting is entirely little circles of various sizes, some

Not sure about the second film in a double feature, but one of the primary films would be either Z (1969) or A Dream of Passion (1978).
