The day lodge was named Wy'East in honor of the indigenous name for the mountain. Learned a lot in 30 yrs of winter visits to Timberline Lodge. Mostly I learned after i gave up skiing, had to occupy myself while my friends skied. Ended up writing a memoir of what the lodge has meant to me.
