Only the Phila. Inquirer noted in the June debate that while Biden had speech problems, HE ANSWERED ALL THE QUESTIONS ACCURATELY AND COMPLETELY while Trump answered NONE. Media folks were and are NOT LISTENING! Since JFK we have a "vigor" bias when we should have a COMPETENCE one.

Huge turnout in little Bellingham WA for No Kings day! From the very old and hardly mobile to the high schoolers and everyone in between. Wonderful signs, many worth a chuckle.

@pastortrey05.com Glad you are on bluesky, Trey. I followed you on Tw**, listened to a podcast interviewing you, and bought and read your book. Would you like to have a copy of Black Liturgies: Prayers, Poems, and Meditations for Staying Human by Cole Arthur Riley. I'd send you mine--paring down!

My guy spotted a book on Flying squirrels and told D that's a book I brought you. Got a good chuckle, esp when D heard the explanation that we'd once had a cat who caught and caught and ate a flying squirrel, and the book was to find out more about these creatures.

My guy took yet another batch of books to our favorite used bookstore today (we're paring down). The owner, call him D, remarked it is always a pleasure to see what you've brought me because of the interesting intellectual qualities of your books. Not like this stack over here. More . . .(1/2)

This came from the Smile listing of upbeat news. When their honor gig with the U.S. Marine Corps was abruptly pulled by the WH, the young people got to play with retired Marine Corps musicians instead. Reaching more listeners than planned, too. trump-administration-dei-order-60-minutes-transcript/?
What musicians did after an executive order on DEI led to the cancellation of U.S. Marine Band collaboration
After an executive order ending DEI initiatives, the U.S. Marine Band canceled a concert featuring young musicians of color. Veterans stepped in to mentor the aspiring musicians.

So, Bluesky friends. How do you manage your growing group of follows/followbacks without spending a lot of time on your feed? I like to check in and hear what you have to say. But I don't live here, so to speak. I weary of scrolling through reposts

"[Renewables] undercut fossil fuels where they are at their weakest: their rampant and unsolvable inefficiency. Politics will not be able to stand in the way of this technological transition.” --Katherine Hayhoe

This is perspective, from looking beneath the level of the national mess. I love it.

Australia Open! Thrilled for Madison Keys and her first major win. She's been working for this so long, and now, at age 29, she's there! And she's an American. Can't wait to see the DVR of the match.
