to all my friends in public media: your work is so valuable. there are many people who see very clearly that you provide an essential public service for your communities. as U.S. media keeps deteriorating, non-corporate media matters so much. you are appreciated by so many of us.

Stephen Colbert is a profoundly good and deeply talented man with a great staff and an excellent show. They all deserve better.

If you are “afraid for your sons" based on 2% of reported rap3s being false, imagine how afraid we are for our daughters based on the other 98% .

God is smiling on me today. I got a later start than I meant to and traffic was tricky getting to the Atlanta airport. I was worried that I would miss my flight bc I arrived just 75 minutes before my flight time.

I found a parking spot easily and made it all the way to the gate in 20 minutes. 🎉🎉🎉

Talk is cheap, GOP senators. Start voting against Trump’s nominees and agenda, or sit down and stop wasting everyone’s time and attention.

Today is a glorious day! My 12 year old asked me if I had a binder for her sheet music - and I was able to go into my (enormous) stash of office supplies and not only give her what she needed, but give her several options.
I can finally justify gathering, keeping and moving all of those for years!

Most days, I forget how old I am - but today, I found myself genuinely excited about getting all of my prescriptions lined up to finally pick them up on the same day. When I bragged about it to my 12 year told, she just gave me her best “bless your heart” look and walked away.

Got to the airport in plenty of time to deal with bag madness, security, breakfast and buying a souvenir and am seated at the gate an hour before departure - is this what the rest of you live like? It’s a whole new world!

I am not sure how she found it, but my 12 year old’s current favorite song is Gansta’s Paradise by Coolio, released in 1995 on the Dangerous Minds soundtrack.

I just blew her mind by knowing all the words.

Mom win!

My fun ADHD moment of the morning: I didn’t want to wash my hair so I tried to use dry shampoo… except it was not dry shampoo, it was spray deodorant. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Put up my hand-me-down, 12-foot Christmas tree last night to bring a little joy into our house - she still needs fluffing and decorating but the lights are lovely!
