Thanks for these kind words!
Just finished "Le temps d'après" (Here in this next new now) by @jeanhegland.bsky.social
Wonderful sequel, a powerful reminder that we have to do something.
brb, I just learned there was a sequel to Into the Forest!

Great conversation between Jean Hegland and @palomamoritz.bsky.social. I had to stop around the middle for fear of spoilers, but I'll definitely come back to it!

Thanks to Éditions Gallmeister and genius translator Josette Chiportiche, I'm heading to France, Brussels, Geneva, and Montreal to help introduce my novel LES TEMPS D'APRÈS to the world!
(The title in English is HERE IN THIS NEXT NEW NOW; here's hoping it finds a good home in the US very soon🤞)

There are so many fascinating, frustrating, depressing, and/or inspiratioal facts in this book, including: "Gutenberg went bankrupt," "only 6 percent of new releases sell one thousand copies," and, "authors and inventors are the only two occupations expressly granted constitutional protection."

I am happily astounded to think that human beings may have kept the story of the Seven Sisters alive for 100,000 years
The Oldest Story On Earth Could Be 100,000 Years Old
And astronomers may have solved the mystery at the heart of it.

"Everything that makes our lives possible...is provided by the lives of more-than-human beings....When we speak of these not as things or natural resources or commodities, but as gifts, our whole relationship to the natural world changes."
