Just to point out that if you spend any appreciable length of time in Glasgow's West End without visiting Goat in the Tree, you are not so much letting the best in life pass you by as assaulting it with a stiletto in a dark alleyway and robbing it of joy before discovering it's your last one.

Most of the time, in my case 🙈 But I also keep an actual fluffy blanket handy, under which to hide when people come asking for precision. It attracts some dodgy types, but everything has a price I guess.

The first time I had syrnyky (pl. Rynok, Lviv, many years ago) they were served with jam. Mama treats us every Sunday and the family tradition is to serve them with honey, but I still stick with the jam. Good for the soul, terrible for the waistline. Now to walk them off...
