That’s really tough - my parents were 15 mins drive
I stayed there mon-Thurs and came home for the weekend and my dad mostly managed the 3 days but I’m on my own with grown up children so made it a bit easier to manage

Yup I had to give up my job and become mums FT carer for around 4 years and I won’t lie I’m scared I may end up on that path again.

I feel you - did it for my mother who we lost last summer and dad slotted right into the gap…
