My brain did eventually think about more important things, for at least a little while...but not until like 11pm, which is not exactly kind of me.

To end on a positive note, I was very proud of myself for beating the Vow of Rivals Typhon fight not just on my first try...but also without Night Bloom*.

Also, I liked the surprise that happens in phase 3!

(It was also *massively* frustrating getting the scene with the Fates to trigger, due to RNG. I think it took me 4 runs? 5?Maybe that's just a skill issue, but I was going into the epilogue in a not particularly great mood, and Clotho did nothing to remedy that.)

(yes i did take a photo of my steam deck like a tech-illiterate grandma; when i try to take a screenshot it switches over to the arcana cards and captures the exact moment when there's nothing to see)

I still have some side stories to finish, so I'm going to keep playing at least until those are done, and I'll reach the epilogue so I can formulate a complete, informed opinion.

But I won't lie; I'm not that excited to play, anymore.

I thought with Dora's, Arachne's...heck even Scylla's backstories, the game was going to go in a very different direction from where it's ended up.

So some of the not-vibing is probably a case of looking forward to a narrative arc that never manifested.

I'm still only at 23/50 achievements. So the gaming will continue tomorrow.

I should probably go outside for at least a bit, though.

I am, however, far more impressed with my (entirely accidental) accomplishment of getting Hecate to accidentally turn someone *else* into a sheep that one time.

(The answer is "less than 4 hours after the game dropped")

Kinda. It's partially a texture thing, which the chips contribute to. But I'm also not a huge fan of the flavor of the overall finished cookie.

The raw dough minus the chips was okay. But I'd rather just have a mountain of snickerdoodles.

*paid for with cash from my parents accumulated over multiple previous birthdays, which i never got around to depositing in the bank or spending on the Star Trek cruise

Anything to get me writing fiction after 10 months of absolute diddly, I say.

Maybe I'll even finish this one, unlike the N-1 other novels I started (No, all that Stargate fanfic from my high school years does not count)
