Hard to get a good photo with my cellphone when it's chilly out there and you are surrounded by trees, but in person this is much more impressive as it's kind of pulsating and waving. In the picture, the green is more apparent than in person. Mother nature is on some trippy drugs.

Building this was a lot of fun. So fun in fact that I ordered a "Haunted Castle" marquee as well. Once that arrives I'll get a lightbox created for that too! Should be much quicker this third time around.

No questions. This version of the lightbox is 1000x better than Version 1.0. Version 2.0 has MUCH more solid coloration and richness to it. I love it!

Fixed the issue of the light bleeding around the edges. (Thank you 2 mm black tape). This looks stunning.

After I built Version 1 of my lightbox, I knew I could make a better one. The 1st version was done expecting a few mistakes I could learn from. This is version 2. Made with a MUCH higher quality print from This Old Game and some 1x3 pine boards. Still have a bit more to do on this, but almost done!

Man. This was a bunch of hard work, but the lightbox I made out of scrap stuff lying around turned out great! Already have ideas regarding V2.0 of this that I'll make soon.

I love making things. Made this lightbox out of an inexpensive arcade marquee print, some leftover scrap wood, some PVC backing board, LED Lights, and a plexiglass front. (Aside from paint, glue, filler, etc.). This is the first of two I plan to make. Using lessons learned from this on my other.

I love making things. Made this lightbox out of an inexpensive arcade marquee print, some leftover scrap wood, some PVC backing board, LED Lights, and a plexiglass front. (Aside from paint, glue, filler, etc.). This is the first of two I plan to make. Using lessons learned from this on my other.
I think the LED light strip I picked up for this lightbox will work just fine. The LED lights do kind of show off some of the print flaws in this reproduction, but honestly in person I can't see them unless I look really close. I love fun little nerd projects.

Haven't been streaming much of late, and here's why. This shelving unit has taken me forever to put together and finish. Mostly because this is in my stream room and home office, and when work is over I want to have no part of being in here. Finally though, I can start filling this in!

PBs feel great! Got myself a huge PB in Simon's Quest tonight. Saved 21 seconds thanks to keeping pace throughout the run, then executing the Quad Drop to seal it. In my runback on the very next run, I was 7 seconds AHEAD of this PB going into Drac's Castle, but failed the quad and got a 35:47.

Castlevania 2 was being pretty brutal tonight. Couldn't get any consistent heart drops going. Popped in CV1 and derusted with a few runs. Guess there wasn't much rust. Was one pixel away from a Clocktower Scroll Glitch which would have lowered my World Record time. Derust done!

Early on in my working career a colleague I worked with from our Romania office at the time knew I liked the novel "Dracula" by Bram Stoker. On one of our business trips she presented me with this cool little wooden container that I still have to dish day. Makes for a great change collector.

Whelp, got some redemption. Haha. Had a run today and it was "okay" but needed some help at the end. That help came by executing a very difficult quadruple floor drop. PB gotten.

Had some fun playing CV2 today, but also had some moments of rage. I can kind of relate to the AVGN character's feelings about the game. Despite all the rage, I saw this at the top of my page and just want to say "Thank You." Pretty bonkers seeing this number up there.

I've slowly started to grow uneasy and weary of users in Discord with this next to their name in servers I've been in for a while. Perhaps too many folks joining servers just to troll others lately.

I am EXTREMELY happy with my new CRT. Managed to get into the service menu and toned down an overdriven red gain on the image. WOW!

So I finally did what Konami never did; made Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest in cart form for the Famicom. Got my custom labels today and applied it to the cart. This looks awesome.

Pretty damned sweet. Konami made a CV1 and CV3 cart for the Famicom, but never one for CV2. With some chip swapping and PCB switching, one can have themselves a Famicom Cart for CV2. Have a screen-printed professional label on the way to replace the color-laser mock-up on there now.
