Reminds me of the 80s trade with….Detroit (?) cubs got someone for a player to be named later then shipped him back to original team after the season. Memory is foggy so I’m sure some detail is wrong but I think that’s the jist.

When I was a kid my neighbors locked me in plastic handcuffs and ran away with the key. Took hours for one of the other dads to break me free. Glad this was much faster!
