Wanted to revisit, having just finished our district and state..
.while there was a lot of consequentialism (welcome to the modern world), we also had some nice sovereignty vs communitarian debates and what "legitimacy" means discussion...impact only debaters were at a loss for many rounds. #NSDA

Agree. But with current topic, I can still teach Justice, government obligations, and approaching the topic holistically from the value perspective. Teaching a holistic topic from a value perspective when it is asking the government to choose between one of three options is odd

sporadic enough that i have not come across that till now...I am fascinated to know that anyone who googles "Bluesky" and "Skeet" is informed without hesitation that it what "they" call posts on the platform....no nuance or room for discussion :)

unfortunately, those topics are both our District and State tournament topics...the state has some ability to make them more palatable but we are stuck with them for districts....so outside the vibe of the event it is hard to describe.

actually no. :) i kind of figured it was sequential. learn something new every day. This is why we relied on a medical task force for a year while we marked social distance and installed classrooms. Thanks for information!
