Kicking myself for not getting the original version before proces went astronomical...

kind of backdoor it by getting a different masters/license (lpc, lmsw, possibly others depending on what your state offers) then just getting trained/certified in something like art therapy after the fact?

If you don't mind, shoot me some links? I could be wrong now, but when I was looking at therapy programs, especially license pathways other than a licensed psychologist (think any/most 'therapist' degrees) that wasn't on a PhD program at most wanted a test, but otherwise wasn't picky. You could also

Good news. Most psych and therapist grad programs aren't super picky about what/where/when your undergrad was, unless you're trying to get into a competitive school or PhD program.

Supply is just one more attack on them.

I get this is imported and therexs probably an argument someone would make that we have domestic like great value brands or whatever, but I think it's important to note that dry pasta is also a super important source of cheap/easy calories for people struggling with food security and hurting that sl

That's sort of the point...most business travel is also basically 'enternainment' as it's not really needed. And *no* unnecessary plane travel is more important than health care.
November 10, 2025 at 12:45 PM
, business travel and college travel. It's still an extreme minority.
November 10, 2025 at 11:28 AM
Most business travel isn't necessary. Most of it could be replaced by virtual work and digital docs. Pretending its somehow necessary to prop up our failing capitalist system instead of a weird legacy holdover or job perk is disingenuous.
The stats on how few Americans fly *includes* holiday travel
November 10, 2025 at 11:28 AM
Only 30% of Americans fly at least once a year. Only 20% of Americans fly 3 or more times. Willing to bet *most* of that is voluntary/entertainment travel. It's like the least important thing impacted by the shutdown.
November 10, 2025 at 3:09 AM
having to limit plane travel is actually such a big deal? Clearly it's mostly recreation/entertainment, and that is clearly engaged in by an extreme minority of the population.

Peters isn't running for re-election anyway. :(

That's where I am on dairy.

Yes

@peters.senate.gov Gary is spineless and not running again, of course he'll cave. @slotkin.senate.gov has shifted a lot farther right than when she originally ran, I'd expect her to cave too. Even though holiday plane travel only impacts 1/3 of Americans recreation vs life saving health insurance
November 9, 2025 at 9:36 PM
Gary peters is spineless and not running again, it's not surprising

About to go up again, and no on step colas...and at one of the most affluent districts in michigan...
November 9, 2025 at 2:26 PM
Maybe because it's still so often and subtly considered 'women's work' but this has been the tacit expectation of everyone working in public k12 education as long as I can remember.
November 9, 2025 at 12:09 PM
I'm still not convinced there is anything new or surprising. This and the shutdown may just be giving cover for the fact that they would always rather have dissolved Congress and had a god-emperor instead...

Wait...was there a sasquatch?..I thought I saw a sasquatch...

Both it and long walk are fantastic reads.
Perhaps controversial, but minus a couple of gunslinger entries, the stuff written as bachman is better on the whole.
