I'm skeptical until the team announces it with Kinley, it doesn't make sense to let him walk over that $4.75M. He was nasty down the stretch.

(Decline the option so the buyout is accounted in 2025 then sign an extension for the net salary to reduce his 2026 cost for accounting and luxury tax reasons) or just an extension. I think we did that with NM, Flowers, and maybe Morton once

It's a really interesting year to spend short term, Devin Williams, Kim, Gallen, Woodruff, Luis Robert (obv trade), King, Iggy all could be had for shorter term than previously thought with nice upside.
