I love that Lavatera is so easy to plant from seed. Tattered but strong, they managed to hold up in the strong Orkney winds. On my list to grow again next year!

It’s not just seals and seagulls that join us on our swims. Many jellyfish have been seen in the UK lately. I took a pic of this one underwater today. It’s a lion’s mane jellyfish with a severe sting. #Orkney #Scotland #jellyfish
