Those are pine trees in the sunrise
A calm lake with a slight fog at the surface. Across the water the trees, pine, are all colored orange by the sunrise, making it look like fiery orange foliage. It’s reflecting in the water just as beautifully. Husband brought me pictures to help me survive the fact that I couldn’t go away for a week. The next time I see the lake it might be frozen.

Did some back floating today
A beautiful calm lake with a nice reflection of the green pines and puffy cloud sky. This is not the lake I backfloated in, mine had much more fall color but the neighbors pontoon was in my picture so this one’s better. I do like a good back float.

Farm to table
Green beans, carrot, green onion and orange pepper, all fresh picked from the deck garden, bright orange and green. Orange pepper, carrot, green onion and green beans all chopped Veggies simmering in some chili crisp, coconut aminos, ginger, garlic and a slash of sesame oil. Will add noodles. Noodles and veggies in a blue bowl with a chili crisp fried and steamed egg with runny yolk waiting for me to stir it in.

I love that Lavatera is so easy to plant from seed. Tattered but strong, they managed to hold up in the strong Orkney winds. On my list to grow again next year!
