Maybe Oireachtas members who won't nominate someone to contest the presidential election do so because they think they would not make a good president.
Or maybe they don't like how her candidacy could be used to target vulnerable groups & make Ireland a less compassionate place.

Could @news.rte.ie offer a bit of balance regarding the discussions on international protection please? Consideration for fundamental rights must be paramount and should be part of any discussions.
